The Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad, held an educational and developmental workshop entitled “Raising Security and Preventive Awareness of the Dangers of Drugs”.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop is delivered by the Director of Community Police at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Omar Afkar Ibrahim, who addressed the concept of addiction, the difference between abuse and addiction, the health and social effects of drug addiction, and the causes of drug abuse. In addition, the workshop emphasized the need for continuous education on such topics that cause destruction to Iraqi society.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

At the end of the workshop, attendees were given the opportunity to dialogue in order to exchange different points of view based on constructive criticism.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
