Second-stage evening students at the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad, held a scientific seminar under the title “The Impact of Political Sociology on Human Development,” under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Adel Al-Badawi.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Raghad Nasif Jasim, while supervising the seminar, pointed out that the essence of human beings is social, and what is political comes through the relationships that individuals establish with others, whether individuals or groups, whether solidarity or conflict relationships. She explained that social and political upbringing has a significant impact on the psychological and social formation of individuals, reflected in their behavior, especially in society as a whole, including elites and active forces in political life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The seminar included several research papers that addressed political socialization, political participation, political culture, political behavior, social forces, sustainable development, and political violence. In light of this, the seminar concluded that human development is synonymous with building society in all its structures, and vice versa. Thus, democracy, which represents a social responsibility based on balancing rights and duties, leads to further stability and order in a society where citizens feel a strong sense of belonging, understand the extent of their society’s problems, and the available resources, thereby achieving a society characterized by beneficial public opinions that support the democratic system.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
