20px;\">Political Thought Department at the College of Political Science\/ University of Baghdad held a workshop entitled \u201cMeans for Political Empowerment of Iraqi Women,\u201d under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi.<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: 20px;\">The workshop discussed a number of research papers, where the first paper, which was by Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Siham Mahdi, was entitled \u201cThe Political Empowerment of Iraqi Women after 2003, a Study of Means and Challenges,\u201d and the second paper was by Assistant Professor Fawzia Khuda Karam, which was entitled \u201cThe Concept of Women\u2019s Empowerment In Iraqi Society,\u201d and the last paper was by Assistant Instructor Maha Ali Hameed, which was entitled \u201cPolitical Empowerment of Women: Obstacles and Solutions.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: 20px;\">At the end of the workshop, there was a number of recommendations, most notably emphasizing the necessity of activating national laws and legislations that give a role to women and encouraging their position in society, as well as increasing the proportion of women\u2019s representation in public ministries and not limiting them to partisan ministries, and providing them with the opportunity to serve as prime ministers and executive ministers, with the necessity of emphasizing the role of the social factor, represented by the role of the family, education, and awareness, in raising and developing the levels of conviction and cumulative knowledge of women about the nature of their rights and freedom of decision-making at the societal level.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2179 size-full\"
