The Political Thought Department at the College of Political Science\/ University of Baghdad held a symposium entitled \u201cIntellectual Developments of the Iraqi Political Powers: A Critical Study,\u201d under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Al-Budaiwi.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe symposium discussed a number of research papers. The research paper by Assistant Professor Dr. Mona Hamdi Hikmat was entitled \u201cRenewal in the Visions of Contemporary Iraqi Political Powers,\u201d and the second paper was by Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Siham Mahdi, which was entitled \u201cRenewal in the Political Thought of the Iraqi Communist Party.\u201d The third research paper was by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Mayali and was entitled \u201cThe Intellectual Developments of Iraqi Political Leaders after 2003.\u201d The research paper by Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Abdel Hafez Adnan was entitled \u201cA Reading of the Thought of Contemporary Iraqi Political Parties: The Phenomenon of Obsession with Power as a Model,\u201d and another research paper was by Dr. Alia Abdul Amir entitled \u201cThe Emerging Iraqi Political Powers and their Role in Correcting the Political Process in Iraq: Ishraqa Canon\u2019s List as a model.\u201d The last research paper was by the Dr. Nizar Muhammad Judah, and was entitled \u201cSecular and Sectarian Extremism: A Critical Reading of the Iraqi Political Experience.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\nAt the end of the symposium, there were a number of recommendations, most notably not allowing external countries to interfere in the internal affairs of Iraq, respecting the sovereignty of states, adopting a policy of good neighborliness, developing relations, as well as building an alliance or national bloc that crosses narrow loyalties that can assume responsibility for changing the situation into a better one.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
