The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad held a workshop accompanying the Third International Climate Conference under the title \u201cSecurity and Climate Change.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe workshop included discussion of a number of research, where the first research was by Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Siham Mahdi and Assistant Professor Dr. Taghreed Hanoun Ali under the title \u201cClimate Variables and their Impact on Human Security in Iraq,\u201d and the second research was by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdel Amir Abdel Hassan under the title Water Diplomacy. Iraq and its role in achieving water security, and the third research was by Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Matar Abdullah and Assistant Lecturer Nour Diaa Muhammad entitled \u201cSustaining Environmental Security in Light of International Competition for Resources,\u201d and the fourth research was by Assistant Professor Dr. Muntaser Hamid Majeed and Assistant Lecturer Shujaa Mahmoud Khalaf under the title \u201c Climate changes, societal stability in Iraq, proposed measures, and the fifth research was by Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Saadoun and Assistant Lecturer Maryam Thabet Noman, under the title \u201cEnvironmental Human Rights and their Repercussions on Human Security.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\nAssistant Professor Dr. Badriya Saleh presented a research entitled \u201cThe Role of Global Environmental Governance in Achieving Iraqi Human Security,\u201d and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Karim presented a research entitled \u201cThe Problem of Climate Change and its Impact on Human Rights in Iraq,\u201d in addition to presenting a research by Assistant Professor Dr. Moataz Ismail and Professor Assistant Dr. Falah Mubarak and Professor Dr. Thaer Shaker Mahmoud entitled \u201cClimate Changes and Iraqi National Security Policies after 2003.\u201d For her part, the teacher, Dr. Sally Saad Muhammad, presented a research entitled \u201cThe Reality of Environmental Terrorism in Iraq and Future Challenges.\u201d The last research for today\u2019s workshop was by Dr. Israa Abd Ali. Kazem, under the title \u201cClimate change is a problem for Iraqi national security.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>
\nAt the conclusion of the workshop, the floor for dialogue was opened for the attendees in order to answer their inquiries and questions regarding the research that was discussed.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
