{"id":1256,"date":"2023-09-24T10:16:00","date_gmt":"2023-09-24T10:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.copolicy.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1256"},"modified":"2023-09-24T10:16:00","modified_gmt":"2023-09-24T10:16:00","slug":"the-college-of-political-science-discusses-the-local-government-system-in-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.copolicy.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1256","title":{"rendered":"The College of Political Science discusses the local government system in Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: 20px;\">The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed the master\u2019s thesis entitled \u201cThe Local Government System in Japan (An Analytical Study) by the student \u201cZainab Abbas Radi\u201d<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: 20px;\">The thesis explained that local government system in Japan is a distinct and unique experience, which was approved by the Japanese Constitution of 1946, as the local government system in Japan has made an opportunity for individuals to participate with the local population and manage their affairs at the local level. It has become a local system that the local population cannot dispensewith, due to its important role in meeting the needs of the local population in a democratic manner. The Japanese Constitution of 1946 specified the powers and functions of the central and local government and the relationship between the central government and the local government, which is characterized by cooperation between them and not a relationship of control. However, there are cases where the central government has the right to interfere in the work of the local government in a way that contributes to the service of Japanese society. The local government system succeeded in creating a kind of rapprochement between members of the local community to participate in their local governments and provide programs that support their needs for these governments to implement services for citizens. Despite the success of the local government system in Japan, it faces many difficulties, the most important of which is the issue of local financing, i.e. how can local governments be financially independent so that they are not exposed to control and pressure from the central government.
