The College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad discussed the master\u2019s thesis tagged Ukraine\u2019s position in the American and Russian strategic perceptions after 2014. It was submitted by the student \u201cAli Adnan Ali Al-Barrak\u201d.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe letter dealt with the status of Ukraine in the American and Russian strategic realization after the latter annexed Crimea in 2014, as Ukraine is one of the pivotal countries in the world and controlling it means achieving preference in the context of the conflict between the two countries. This fact made the United States of America seek to try to include it in the system. Euro-Atlantic with the aim of containing Russia and preventing expansion in its traditional sphere of influence, while Russia sought to include Ukraine in its Eurasian system and make it a buffer state between it and the West, which would guarantee its national security. The study also attempted to investigate the depth of the Russian connection with its western Ukraine historically, which is a starting point for the Russian Federation to search for the restoration of its international role as a superpower, as Russia has become playing a major role in the international arrangement and is able to impose its will in most issues of contention with the West, which is what it sees. The United States is a threat to its hegemony in the world.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe study included three chapters, starting with the first chapter, where it talked about the geostrategic importance of Ukraine, then the second chapter dealt with the position of Ukraine in the American and Russian strategic perceptions after 2014.In the third chapter, the study dealt with the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and its future repercussions on the American and Russian strategic perceptions.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThis study came to discuss a problem centered around a basic question, which is, what are the military, political and economic extents that the war in Ukraine could reach in terms of the comprehensive confrontation between the United States and Russia.<\/span><\/strong>
\nAt the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a master’s degree with a “very good” grade, wishing all our students success in their academic and practical lives\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
